Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $23.50/hr.

Shift: 1st Shift – Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Production Associate - Level I to support the disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of high-horsepower diesel engines. The selected candidate will operate production equipment safely, follow quality and productivity requirements, and work with limited guidance in a manufacturing environment.
This role rotates employees through engine disassembly, component cleaning, and inspection activities to prepare parts for the next stage of production.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the teardown and disassembly of high-horsepower diesel engines.
  • Clean engine components and prepare parts for inspection and production.
  • Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
  • Follow standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Apply quality practices such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
  • Identify and report quality, safety, and process issues.
  • Achieve established production goals and required cycle times.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and planned operator care activities.
  • Work with peers, skilled trades, and support teams to identify equipment issues and support repairs.
  • Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in HSE training and continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate effectively with assigned teams and support functions.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet production goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions and quality procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of hand tools.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with engines or diesel engines.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience with mechanical disassembly and assembly.
  • Familiarity with production equipment and hand tools.
  • Experience performing quality inspections.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical or equipment issues.
