Location: Henderson, CO (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $23.50/hr.
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Production Associate - Level I to support the disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of high-horsepower diesel engines. The selected candidate will operate production equipment safely, follow quality and productivity requirements, and work with limited guidance in a manufacturing environment.
This role rotates employees through engine disassembly, component cleaning, and inspection activities to prepare parts for the next stage of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the teardown and disassembly of high-horsepower diesel engines.
- Clean engine components and prepare parts for inspection and production.
- Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
- Follow standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures.
- Apply quality practices such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
- Identify and report quality, safety, and process issues.
- Achieve established production goals and required cycle times.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and planned operator care activities.
- Work with peers, skilled trades, and support teams to identify equipment issues and support repairs.
- Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in HSE training and continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively with assigned teams and support functions.
- Perform other duties as required to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow standard work instructions and quality procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of hand tools.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with engines or diesel engines.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Experience with mechanical disassembly and assembly.
- Familiarity with production equipment and hand tools.
- Experience performing quality inspections.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical or equipment issues.
