Welder Fitter

(New Orleans, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Combo Fitter Welder for an industrial position in the New Orleans area. Pay is $27–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Essential Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.

• Fit, align, and assemble structural and mechanical components.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding as required.

• Measure, cut, tack, and weld metal components according to specifications.

• Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely.

• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper fit-up.

• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements/Skills:

• Previous experience as a fitter/welder in an industrial, fabrication, or shipyard environment.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.

• Proficiency with common welding and fabrication tools and equipment.

• Ability to perform accurate measurements and work to tight tolerances.

• Welding certifications are preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Must be dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required.

• Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to heat, noise, fumes, and welding operations.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
