Wire Harness Assembler

SUMMARY:

The Wire Harness Assembler will be responsible for producing the cabling that goes in our UPS systems. They will also be responsible for doing small soldering jobs, where they solder wire harnesses to PCB boards and other connectors. They will directly for the Production Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Wire Harness Assembler will be provided with Engineering drawings, picture references and B.O.Ms to build the cabling to specifications. They are responsible for verifying the material they receive and the cables they produce. They are also responsible for cutting wire and crimping connectors for the jobs they are working on.

Our Wire Harness Assemblers will need to be able to carry out instructions written, oral or in the form of pictures and drawings in order to complete their assignments. They should be able to pay very close attention to minor details and plan out their assembly.

The job requires the ability to work in a fast-paced focused production environment with various hand tools including crimp tools, soldering pens, and drills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1 year minimum related experience.

- Some college preferred, HS diploma is acceptable

- Ability to read engineering drawings and B.O.Ms

- Have knowledge of different types of hardware

- Ideal candidate will be able to identify poor crimps vs good crimps.

- Experience using hand and power tools as well as crimpers.
