Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT CT or ARRT R certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital CT Scan department
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and Emergency Department settings
- 1:1 patient ratios
- 3x12 hour day shifts (11:00-23:30) and night shifts (18:00-06:30)
- Self-scheduling based on seniority; must be open to all shift times with no specific shift request accommodations
- Weekend requirements may exceed an every-other-weekend rotation to meet unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between like units required
- Uses GE and Toshiba CT equipment
- Charting completed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- ARRT CT or ARRT R certification required
- BLS, CA CRT, and CT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast
- Experience with chest imaging with and without contrast
- Experience with head imaging with and without contrast
- Experience with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine imaging
- Musculoskeletal trauma imaging experience
- Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety protocols
- PACS and Fuji Synapse experience preferred
- Preferred skills include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, drainage procedures, vascular CTA, cardiac calcium scoring, and vascular chest CTA
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Free parking available on-site
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location as part of the assignment
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront at the time of consideration; requests submitted afterward may not be granted
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required for consideration
