Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: 5/8 schedule – Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday
Available Shifts: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | 10:30 AM–7:30 PM
Pay: $24-$30/hour, depending on experience
Weekend & holiday support may be required
We’re seeking a QC Microbiology Analyst I to join a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Winston-Salem, NC. This role will support routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do- Perform routine Environmental Monitoring (EM) of GMP-controlled areas
- Support personnel monitoring during manufacturing operations
- Perform microbiological testing including bioburden, endotoxin, and sterility testing
- Perform enumeration, Gram staining, streaking, and isolation of recovered organisms
- Collect and test environmental and utility samples
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, protocols, and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely GMP documentation
- Support SOP, work instruction, form, and protocol revisions
- Assist with laboratory equipment qualification and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain QC laboratory inventory and coordinate material requests
- Maintain high hygiene and aseptic practices required for GMP cleanroom operations
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and other Quality functions to support timely testing and reporting
- High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field is a plus
- 1–2 years of relevant microbiology experience
- Pharmaceutical or other GMP-regulated laboratory experience strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of cGMP requirements and cleanroom practices
- Experience with Environmental Monitoring, bioburden, endotoxin, or sterility testing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with LIMS is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform bending, lifting, and squatting as required
