Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager will oversee HR operations for approximately 300 employees across multiple sites, including community-based programs and residential locations. This position serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for ensuring compliance, supporting employees and managers, and leading HR programs that promote organizational success.

The HR Manager directly supervises HR staff and oversees front desk operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day human resources operations and HR team performance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and corrective action processes
  • Administer and support leave management programs, including FMLA
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, policy development, and organizational initiatives
  • Manage HR compliance audits, documentation, and reporting
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and employee engagement efforts
  • Guide managers on performance management and employment practices
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and records, including Paylocity
  • Foster a positive, transparent, and accountable workplace culture
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Current or recent experience in a Human Resources Manager role
  • Strong HR compliance background with expertise in employment laws and regulations
  • Experience managing FMLA, leave administration, and workers' compensation
  • Proven employee relations and conflict resolution experience
  • Supervisory or leadership experience within an HR function
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification, or willingness to obtain certification
Technology

Experience with HRIS platforms is required. Exposure to Paylocity is highly preferred.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
