Registered Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patients in a busy acute-care hospital environment. This position offers exposure to critical-care respiratory needs and the opportunity to work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and monitor routine and complex respiratory therapies.
• Set up and maintain oxygen equipment, aerosol therapy, ventilators, and other respiratory equipment.
• Perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) as required.
• Assess and reassess patients and recognize changes in respiratory status.
• Provide respiratory care support in ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, and other critical-care areas.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding respiratory treatments and equipment.
• Communicate patient status and recommendations effectively with physicians and the clinical team.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience
• Critical-care experience preferred; ICU, CVICU, NICU, or PICU
• Home Care, Long-Term Care, and CRT experience may also be considered
• Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license
• Current NBRC RRT or CRT credential
• BLS certification
• ACLS, PALS & NRP required within 30 days of hire
