Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) | Barrington, Illinois

Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography; IR certification preferred
• Current state license (if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience as an IR Tech in a hospital or clinical setting
• Proficiency with imaging equipment specific to interventional radiology
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain patient safety at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including explanation, positioning, and sterile technique setup
• Operate and maintain advanced IR imaging equipment to assist physicians with accurate diagnosis and treatment
• Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Ensure imaging quality and adherence to established protocols
• Assist the medical team by providing necessary instruments and technical support during procedures
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces while following all infection control and safety guidelines
• Participate in continuing education and skill development relevant to the IR Tech field

$2,904 - $3,072/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
