Pharmacist in Framingham, MA

A remote Pharmacist opportunity is available with a leading healthcare organization seeking a dedicated professional to support Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals. This temp-to-hire role offers a dynamic work environment requiring strong clinical expertise and the ability to navigate evolving workflows efficiently.

Location: Remote (Pharmacists licensed in any state are encouraged to apply)
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM EST
• Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation
• No days off except for emergencies from 01/01/2027 to 03/31/2027
  Contract Duration: 10/01/2026 to 03/31/2027 (6 months)
  Job Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

• Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals in compliance with Medicare requirements
• Apply clinical policies and utilization management criteria to authorization decisions
• Support internal clinical and non-clinical teams with questions related to Part B drug policies and workflows
• Identify opportunities to enhance review quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and business demands
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity under evolving workflows

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree and an active pharmacist license in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or specialty pharmacy
• Strong clinical judgment with demonstrated ability to evaluate complex Part B drug requests independently
• Experience handling Part B drug prior authorization and appeals is highly preferred
• Prior utilization management and prior authorization experience is a significant advantage
