Job Title: Laborer – Powder Coater

Job Description

This role supports the powder coating production line by performing hands-on, repetitive tasks to prepare, hang, and inspect parts. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, standing for most of the shift, and contributing directly to the quality and flow of finished products.

Responsibilities

• Hang coated parts on the powder coat line in a consistent and efficient manner.
• Change hooks and racks and set up the line to accommodate different parts and production runs.
• Load parts onto the production line and unload finished parts once the coating process is complete.
• Insert plugs into parts before coating and remove them after coating as required.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before moving them forward.
• Communicate clearly with team members and work collaboratively to maintain smooth operations.
• Follow all safety regulations, promote a safe workplace, and promptly report any unsafe acts or conditions.
• Perform various other general labor and production duties as required to support the powder coating process.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform general and physical labor tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfort with repetitive work and standing for extended periods during the shift.
• Experience or familiarity with powder coating processes or willingness to learn on the job.
• Basic understanding of general production and manufacturing line operations.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift in a production setting, if needed.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts for defects and quality issues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production line environment is helpful but not required.
• Experience as a forklift operator is an asset.
• Comfort working night shifts in a fast-paced, industrial setting.
• Willingness to perform a variety of duties and adapt to changing production needs.

Work Environment

The work follows a night-shift schedule, with close collaboration among team members and adherence to safety protocols throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.

The pay range for this position is $17.36 - $17.36/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
