Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Whitsett, NC 27377 (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract – Potential for Permanent
Pay Rate: $40/hour on W2
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to establish, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes. This role will focus on Lean manufacturing, process control, equipment engineering, facility projects, and data-driven operational improvements while collaborating with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes, standard work, and process controls.
- Lead Lean, Kaizen, waste reduction, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational data to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and process performance.
- Support the design and implementation of manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation, and 2D/3D layouts.
- Lead equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities.
- Support greenfield facility builds, production ramp-up, and brownfield expansions/upgrades.
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, and other teams.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and corporate safety requirements.
- Coach and support engineers and technical team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience in process engineering, manufacturing operations, process control, or related engineering functions.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and standard work.
- Experience with equipment engineering, automation, tooling, installation, or commissioning.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, safety, and risk-management practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Experience leading engineering projects or coaching technical team members preferred.
- Greenfield/brownfield manufacturing experience, 2D/3D layouts, FAT/SAT, and Kaizen experience are highly preferred.
