Pay Rate: $30/hr on w2
Schedule Time: Shift B; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3-2-2 12-hour shift schedule; 40 hours per week).

Position Summary:

• Provide maintenance leadership to the Facilities Maintenance Department and perform supervisory duties in the absence of the Superintendent while on shift, organizing the next shift tasks during shift passdowns.
• Provide highly technical mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure that all Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work orders are completed in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime and improve system reliability.
• Works closely with engineers, vendors, contractors, and customers and is considered part of the maintenance team leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Provide maintenance project management to mechanical and electrical system issues; develop root cause solutions to system problems resulting in continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership and direction in the absence of the Supervisor. Act as part of the Facilities Leadership Team (FLT) and meet weekly to maintain alignment.
• Provide technical expertise and training to all mechanic levels.
• Oversee maintenance project work and coordinate the activities of mechanics.
• Hire and manage contract labor for small maintenance-related projects and escalate to superintendents when unable to act independently or if the project exceeds $10k.
• Coordinate system shutdowns with other departments within the facility to minimize any impact to operations.
• Perform Maintenance activities including PMs, CMs, and EMs using Maximo.
• Communicate with upper levels of plant management concerning the progress of work or special problems affecting production/critical systems.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Medical Requirement: Must NOT be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporins.
• 4-5 years of prior maintenance experience with mechanical systems such as boilers, air conditioning equipment, chillers, air compressors, etc.
• Experience with personal computers including maintenance management systems (Maximo) and basic Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with water for injection is highly preferred.
• Experience with Baxter specifications and hardware/software control systems is desired.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical School Training is preferred.

• Work Schedule: This role follows a 3-2-2 rotating schedule with 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
