We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a manufacturing environment in Blue Springs, Missouri. This role requires a strong command of financial reporting, cost accounting, and planning activities, along with the ability to support complex regulatory and contractual requirements, specifically FAR and DFAR regulations. Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely close activities, and reliable reporting across the organization.

• Oversee cost accounting activities for manufacturing operations, including product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and margin reporting.

• Manage financial planning and analysis efforts by developing budgets, forecasts, and performance insights that support strategic and operational decisions.

• Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements by maintaining appropriate financial controls, documentation, and reporting practices.

• Lead the implementation of enterprise accounting systems or financial tools to improve reporting efficiency, process consistency, and data accuracy.

• Monitor and report on transactions involving multiple currencies, ensuring proper treatment, reconciliation, and financial visibility across international activity.

• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures to support audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and sound financial governance.

• Partner with leadership teams to evaluate business performance, identify risks, and recommend actions that improve financial results.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility within a Controller or similar function.

• Strong expertise in core accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close management.

• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing finance, with deep knowledge of cost accounting and inventory-related financial analysis.

• Working knowledge of government contracting requirements and the financial compliance standards associated with regulated contracts - specifically FAR and DFAR regulations

• Proven ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and broader FP& A activities in a dynamic business setting.

• Experience supporting or leading accounting system implementations or finance technology improvements.

• Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and financial operations in organizations with international transactions.
