We are looking for an experienced organizational development consultant to guide change initiatives for a Long-term Contract position based in Mounds View, Minnesota. In this role, you will partner with leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders to help employees adapt to evolving processes, tools, and ways of working. The consultant will create practical change strategies, deliver clear communications, and support adoption efforts that improve readiness and long-term business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define change objectives, understand project scope, and translate business goals into actionable adoption plans.
• Evaluate how proposed changes may affect employees, workflows, and operational processes, then recommend approaches that reduce disruption.
• Build and manage structured change plans that include communication activities, engagement milestones, training needs, and implementation timelines.
• Identify stakeholder groups, assess their level of impact, and develop targeted engagement strategies that encourage alignment and participation.
• Create and deliver communication materials that keep employees and leadership informed with timely, consistent, and easy-to-understand updates.
• Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and discussion forums that prepare teams to work effectively in the updated environment.
• Analyze organizational readiness, anticipate resistance points, and develop mitigation actions to address risks and support successful adoption.
• Provide hands-on guidance during rollout activities, respond to employee and manager concerns, and help reinforce change across the organization.
• Maintain thorough documentation of change activities, lessons learned, and outcomes, while preparing status reports for stakeholders and senior leaders.• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, organizational psychology, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated background in change management within a consulting, contract, or project-based environment.
• Solid knowledge of change management frameworks, stakeholder engagement methods, and adoption best practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to varied audiences.
• Experience developing training materials, leading workshops, and supporting organizational readiness efforts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, produce accurate documentation, and deliver clear progress reporting.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trust across teams.
