Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.   Education:
  \n Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. Consideration will be given to candidates with comparable education, relevant experience, and successful licensure

\n
• \n

  Licensure:
  \n Must obtain and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state where nursing duties are performed. The individual is responsible for meeting and maintaining all State Board of Nursing requirements.

  Certifications:
  \n One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position, unit assignment, or must be obtained within the department’s specified timeframe:

    ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

  \n
  • \n

    PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

  \n
  • \n

    PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)

  \n
  • \n

    S.T.A.B.L.E. Program (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support)

  \n
  • \n

    BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association (required within 30 days of hire)

  \n
  • \n

    LPN-IV Certification (Missouri only) – must be completed prior to hire or within 3 months of hire

  \n
  • \n

    Additional unit-specific certifications as required

  \n
\n

\nPhysical Requirements\n

  Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

\n
• \n

  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout each shift

\n
• \n

  Ability to perform essential physical functions, including gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to carry out job responsibilities
