Job Summary

Provide assessment of students referred through the school support team process.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in School Psychology (REQUIRED)
  • Valid Tennessee School Services License with an endorsement in the area of school psychology
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct
  • Dependable transportation to various locations
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications are subject to Tennessee licensure laws and Director of Schools Discretion

Responsibilities/Job Duties

  • Reports to the Supervisor of Special Education
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations on students served through special education
  • Hold conferences with parents to review the psychologist's assessment results prior to the IEP meeting
  • Participate in IEP team meetings as needed to address assessment and evaluation issues
  • Provide consultation to teachers, parents and principals to improve the educational environment for students
  • Follow all state and federal laws and regulations and Campbell County Board of Education policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory, and respectful working relationships within the school environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
