Beloit Health System is looking to add a Student Radiology Technologist to our Team!Shift: VariedSchedule: Hours between 6:30 am – 11:00 pmHours per week: Varied – Per DiemBenefits Status: Not EligibleDepartment: RadiologyThe Radiology Technologist Student performs x-ray procedures to produce images for the purpose of diagnosing disease processes under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist until board certified. Provides diagnostic radiographic services Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification. Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required. Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement, etc. Performs quality control checks as requiredAssists in aspects of patient care including transportation and PACs processing. Detects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctions. Assumes responsibility for portions of department quality assurance and improvement programs Pursues licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.Job RequirementsEnrolled in final semester of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology Must become ARRT registered in Radiology and licensed in the state(s) you work within 90 days of graduation Self-motivated and able to be flexible Ability to problem-solveAbility to interact well with customers Good written and oral communication skills CPR certification within 90 days of hireReporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Radiology..Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists.
