Job Description
7:00 AM in Sedalia, MO. You review a visual work instruction and a bill of materials. A rotary screw or reciprocating compressor subassembly waits at your bench. By mid-morning, torque specs are verified, parts inspected, and a straight lobe blower is coming together to blueprint. In the afternoon, a returned unit is re-manufactured to exacting standards. You wrap at 3:30 PM, knowing quality and safety guided every move.
Location: Gardner Denver – 305 North State Fair Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

What you'll build and how you'll win- Assemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment to specification using procedures, visual instructions, BOMs, and blueprints.
- Inspect parts and finished builds to confirm quality and performance requirements.
- Execute core unit build processes and assist with re-manufacturing returned units.
- Apply strong mechanical aptitude and shop math to complete accurate, efficient work.
- Collaborate within a team-focused manufacturing environment that prizes safety and quality.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; experience with hand and power tools.
- Comfort with shop math, metric/imperial conversions, and basic measurements (preferred).
- Clear communication skills and a cooperative, team-first mindset.
