You start your day at 7:00 am in our climate-controlled Cedar Rapids facility. Tools laid out, schematics in hand, you begin assembling a large commercial packaging system—from the frame to subassemblies to the final connections. By mid-morning, you’ve routed pneumatic lines, landed electrical wires, and aligned mechanical components. Before lunch, you run established checks to confirm everything operates the way it should. By 3:30 pm, you’ve made measurable progress on a machine that will be shipped to a customer who relies on Novolex technology every day.

We’re hiring immediately for an experienced assembler who brings precision, safety, and pride to every build.

Your Impact

• Assemble large commercial consumer packaging equipment from the base frame up, including subassemblies and individual piece parts.
• Integrate electrical wiring, mechanical components, and pneumatic systems per specifications.
• Perform established functional tests to verify correct operation and quality.

Schedule & Environment

• Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• Workplace: Climate controlled
• Location: Cedar Rapids

Compensation Progression

• Minimum = $28.94
• 3 Months = $29.35
• 6 Months = $29.87
• 9 Months = $30.36
• 12 Months = $30.88

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: A.A.S. in Industrial Maintenance Technology, or 2–5 years in mechanical/electrical maintenance or capital equipment assembly within manufacturing.
• Preferred: WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate, Silver level or higher.
