Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with engineers, fabrication teams, and project leadership to align design intent with execution, reviewing drawings, resolving challenges, and optimizing for manufacturability. You'll also play a key role in project success-participating in meetings, supporting bids, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality through rigorous QA/QC processes-making your contributions critical from initial concept through final delivery.In order to do this, you'll need the following:Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field5+ years structural steel design experienceExperience in industrial, utility, or heavy steel environmentsKnowledge of steel design and load analysisExperience with structural calculations and FEA toolsMicrosoft Office proficiencyStrong communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Substation design experienceTubular steel expertiseFabrication collaborationEPC or utility client experienceInvolvement in proposal or business development effortsExperience with software such as PLS-POLE, PLS-CADD, STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, RAM, AutoCAD, Tekla, or BluebeamOUR COMPANY: STEELCONSteelCon exists to build more than structures-we build opportunity.
