A day on our First ShiftYou’ll arrive at our Temple, TX facility ready to turn raw stainless and sheet metal into precisely crafted components that keep critical facilities safe and compliant. You’ll collaborate closely with a hands-on, fast-moving team that values craftsmanship, reliability, and safety.
What you’ll do- Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless and sheet metal parts for ductwork and fittings.
- Cut, form, grind, drill, fit, and fabricate sheet metal fittings and duct work.
- Operate shop equipment and tools: plasma torch, shear, brake, roller, punch press, rotary forming machines, seam welders, and coil line.
- Set up equipment correctly, use all safety devices, and ensure safe operation.
- Operate a forklift when trained and required.
- Conduct first piece inspections and all subsequent inspections as needed.
- Monitor equipment and request service; perform simple maintenance and repairs.
- Work in a production environment with required PPE worn at all times in the shop.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- TIG welding experience (required) and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Comfort with math, ability to read a tape measure, and familiarity with blueprints.
- Willingness to learn (2-week training provided for the right individual) and to work at a fast pace.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 hours per day; overtime on Saturday as needed.
- Stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work around paints, powders, chemicals, and in varying temperatures.
- Starting pay: $18 to $23 per hour (higher based on experience).
- Weekly pay.
- Eligibility, beginning the first of the month after 60 days of employment, to enroll (for full-time eligible employees) in the Scott and White Health Plan (health and vision), Delta Dental, 401(k), Life Insurance, and Short-Term Disability.
- Vacation after 1 year of employment.
- 8 paid holidays after completion of a 90-day probationary period.
