Duration: 13 Weeks – Potential Extension
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 4x10-hour shifts

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to support a Cath Lab setting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diagnostic radiography as well as Cath Lab procedures, including manifold systems, scrub assistance, and table-side support.

The technologist will perform radiographic examinations, assist with patient positioning and procedures, operate imaging equipment, and provide technical support to physicians and the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical factors, and operating imaging equipment.
  • Use immobilization devices and appropriate positioning techniques based on individual patient needs.
  • Apply appropriate radiation protection practices, including beam restriction and collimation.
  • Perform portable X-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, emergency departments, and other clinical areas.
  • Properly identify and document patient imaging studies and ensure accurate examination labeling.
  • Prepare and administer or assist with radiopaque contrast media according to established procedures and physician direction.
  • Provide Cath Lab table-side support during procedures.
  • Perform scrub assistance as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Cath Lab manifold systems.
  • Assist with patient movement, positioning, transferring, and safe handling throughout procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and clean imaging/procedure environment.
  • Complete required examination documentation, records, and patient requisitions.
  • Assist with scheduling, patient instructions, record maintenance, and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt patient care and communication based on age, culture, language, developmental needs, and physical or sensory limitations.
  • Follow applicable radiation safety, infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental standards.
  • Maintain required technical competencies and professional standards.
  • Ability to lift at least 5 lbs., push/pull at least 10 lbs., and remain standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience required.
  • 3 years of experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Completion of required clinical training and ARRT requirements.
  • Valid New Jersey State Radiologic Technology License.
  • Ability to meet requirements for the National Registry and successfully pass the required examination.
  • Previous Cath Lab experience strongly preferred.

  • AHA BLS

  • Strong patient-care and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity procedural situations.
