Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Details
- Community hospital setting within a diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology department
- 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- On-call requirement of 8-10 weeknights per month and 1 weekend per month
- Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays as needed
- Must float within skillset as required
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- ARRT(R) with NJ license or RCIS accepted; license required if applicable
- NJ license not required at time of submission but must be obtained prior to start, typically within 3 weeks
- ACLS, BLS, and ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, 1 year may be considered based on experience
- Experience with vascular closure systems, angioplasty, and endovascular interventions
- Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and pacemaker insertion
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile technique, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Experience with fluoroscopy and Philips imaging equipment preferred
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulation, scrubbing and maintaining sterile field, and stocking supplies
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, vascular studies, and electrophysiology-related tasks
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
