Food Service Worker

Location: University of Kentucky – Lexington, KY
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time | Multiple Shifts Available
Pay: Starting at $16/hour

Snelling Staffing is hiring Food Service Workers for dining locations throughout the University of Kentucky campus.

We have a large number of immediate openings with multiple schedules, shifts, and campus dining locations available. Whether you’re looking for a traditional Monday–Friday schedule, mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, full-time hours, or part-time work, we may have an opportunity that fits your availability.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your assigned dining location, responsibilities may include:

Preparing and serving food and beverages
Assisting with basic food preparation
Setting up and stocking food service areas
Operating serving stations or counters
Providing friendly customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors
Maintaining clean and organized work areas
Cleaning tables, counters, equipment, and food preparation areas
Washing dishes and utensils as needed
Restocking food, beverages, supplies, and service items
Following food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
Assisting other team members during busy meal periods
Performing other food-service duties as assigned
Multiple UK Campus Locations

These positions are located at various dining facilities throughout the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington.

Available assignments may include dining halls, cafés, quick-service restaurants, coffee shops, campus markets, and other food-service operations.

Specific work location and reporting instructions will be provided based on your assigned position.

What We’re Looking For

Dependable and punctual
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a busy food-service environment
Able to provide good customer service
Able to stand and remain active throughout the shift
Willing to follow food-safety and sanitation requirements
Reliable transportation to the University of Kentucky campus
Previous restaurant, cafeteria, dining, hospitality, retail, or food-service experience is helpful, but opportunities may be available for candidates without previous experience
