Under general direction of Nursing Administration Management, responsible for providing bedside staff as required by the patient acuity system. Accurately maintains personnel database (ANSOS). Assures working staff has required credentials on file. Adjudicate all contract labor invoices.
As required, provides cross coverage with established team members and clinical and decedent affair coordinator as determined by management. The duties include, but are not limited to facilitating care through discussing postmortem process with legal next of kin, obtaining legal consent, and utilizing EMR systems for review and identification of information required by policy and guidelines; and coordinating various aspects of decedent affairs including, documentation, transportation coordination and compliance with regulatory agencies. Perform other work as requested.
The shifts for this position will rotate between the 2am-10:30am shift and the 12:30pm-9pm shift.
Three years of relevant clinical scheduling and staffing experience.
Basic computer skills with email and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- One (1) year of relevant experience in a large/comparable hospital setting.
- ANSOS/Web Scheduler system experience.
- Epic experience.
- Medical terminology and hospital environment experience.
- Demonstrated bed placement experience.
- Experience coordinating & collaborating operations & resources across multiple areas/sites.
- Experience coordinating & working with contract labor (registry and travel).
- Experience w/regulatory compliance.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Must be able to work at both UCSD Hillcrest and La Jolla hospitals.
- Telephone and message machine required.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $60,865 - $80,304 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $29.15 - $38.46
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
