The Division of Biology is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the lab of Revathi Govind to study cyclic-di-GMP (c-di-GMP) signaling and its role in bacterial virulence. The project will investigate the molecular mechanisms by which c-di-GMP networks control sporulation, toxin production, and biofilm formation in the anaerobic bacterial pathogen Clostridioides difficile, using both biochemical and genetic approaches.

What You'll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
* PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (completed or near completion)
* Experience with bacterial genetics (creating and screening mutants, various cloning methods, PCR, qRT-PCR, protein expression and purification, RNA-seq and general microbiology techniques.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience with bacterial pathogens
* Familiarity with high throughput sequencing and bioinformatics
Additional Role Information:
* Design and execute experiments
* Analyze and interpret data, and contribute to manuscript preparation
* Present findings at lab meetings and scientific conferences
* Mentor graduate and undergraduate students as needed
