American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier commercial printing and packaging manufacturing facility in Vancouver, WA to hire a full-time Pressroom Production Supervisor. In this high-impact floor leadership role, you will oversee daily pressroom functionality, enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols, assemble accurate production job packets, manage employee scheduling and training, and drive continuous productivity and waste reduction. Working closely with the Director of Printing Operations, you will ensure full compliance with union agreements and company standards while fostering a motivated, high-performing shop environment. - Provide hands-on pressroom floor leadership, direction, and daily operational support to all shift personnel.
- Enforce strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), facility safety protocols, and plant compliance standards across the floor.
- Assemble, review, and verify complete production job packet paperwork for accuracy prior to staging on the line.
- Oversee press machinery operations, setup standards, production run speeds, and accurate waste/scrap tracking.
- Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks interfering with press productivity and implement effective, root-cause solutions.
- Collaborate on the implementation of lean manufacturing procedures to improve daily throughput and minimize raw material waste.
- Manage team schedules, monitor vacation coverage, and coordinate overtime needs directly with the Director of Printing Operations.
- Lead onboarding and structured training for operators and assistants, ensuring complete and accurate training documentation.
- Manage raw material inventory control, ensuring accurate film usage based on production job allocations.
- Promptly identify, log, and report facility and press maintenance issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure full, consistent compliance with the Collective Bargaining / Union Agreement at all times.
- Assume full supervisory authority and operational oversight over press department duties during the Director of Printing Operations' absence.
- Maintain clear documentation for employee performance coaching, policy enforcement, and disciplinary actions.

- Pay Rate:$31.25 – $33.65 / hour (Scaling based on supervisory tenure, print background, and experience / DOE).
- Schedule: Full-Time Core Schedule (Monday – Friday with shift flexibility required based on plant production demands and workload).
- Location: Vancouver, WA facility.
- Position Type: Full-Time, long-term manufacturing leadership career pathway.
Requirements for Pressroom Production Supervisor:
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum 2+ years of verified production or manufacturing supervisory experience strictly required.
- Demonstrated leadership presence with the ability to motivate crews, enforce standards, and maintain positive morale.
- Visual & Measurement Precision: Must possess normal color vision (capable of accurately identifying and matching color shades) and the ability to read a standard tape measure down to precise fractions.
- Solid baseline math skills and proficient computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and inventory/production logging systems).
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment or familiarity with Union Agreement compliance preferred.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) communication skills are a strong PLUS.
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and professional accountability.
