Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Dishwasher to join a dedicated Hospital Food Services Team in the Austin area. In this role, you’ll support the overall cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a great opportunity for someone dependable and detail-oriented who’s looking to make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting. No specific experience is required — we’ll provide the training!
As a Dishwasher, you’ll be responsible for:
- Washing and sanitizing dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with general kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Following strict infection control and food safety protocols
- Organizing and storing clean kitchenware in designated areas
- Working collaboratively with food service staff to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment
- Handling and disposing of waste and recycling properly
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced environment
What you’ll need:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for shift-based work
- Willingness to follow hospital sanitation and safety standards
- Positive attitude and teamwork mindset
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
