ANG SIGNAL is looking for a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the federal government in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will provide network engineering and support of the enterprise network to support the mission of our federal client, and will have hands-on experience with cloud migrations, network security, and cyber security. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation and a passion for secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions.
This is an on-site position in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide technical support on network and cabling issues
- Support the LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites, and data centers
- Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability
- Install, wire, and test networking equipment in data centers and telecom closets following detailed engineering diagrams.
- Troubleshoot network and cabling problems and coordinate with the various department administrators to facilitate troubleshooting efforts
- Participate in lab configuration and testing of new technologies
- Prepare network topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance plans and provide status reports as required
- Participate in data calls and other operational and maintenance tasks
- 2+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
- Cisco Routers and Switches hands-on experience
- Hands-on experience with physical network deployment, data center racking, and structured cabling best practices
- Experience configuring and running firewalls is preferred
- Experience with Aruba wireless and switches, and Fortinet firewalls, is a plus
- General understanding of project management processes and terminology
- Ability to multitask and set priorities
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
