About the Role:
New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare LLC is looking for a compassionate and driven Patient Advocate to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this vital role, you'll serve as a bridge between patients and the healthcare system, ensuring individuals receive the support, resources, and care they deserve. Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients navigating behavioral healthcare services
• Assist patients in understanding their rights, treatment options, and care plans
• Address patient concerns, grievances, and inquiries in a timely and empathetic manner
• Facilitate access to mental health, substance use, and community support services
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and advocacy efforts
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality and Risk Management

Requirements:

• Experience in behavioral health, social services, case management, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment systems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a commitment to advocacy
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the Albuquerque community
