Job Description

Job Description
Clinic Director (BCBA) | Center-Based ABA

Aviation ABA Therapy | Provo, Utah | Full-Time, On-Site Leadership Role

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

This is not a step sideways. This is the on-site leadership role for a BCBA who has built clinical programs, led teams, and wants to run a clinic of their own inside a growing, mission-driven company.

Aviation ABA Therapy is opening a second clinic in Provo after building a strong in-home program and a thriving South Salt Lake location. We are creating something rare in this space: a company that treats clinical excellence, operational discipline, and family experience as one integrated system. We move fast, we run lean, and the people we bring into leadership are expected to think outside the box.

As Clinic Director, you own the Provo site. You will shape how care is delivered there, how staff are trained, and how the clinic grows from opening day forward. You will report to our Clinical Director and work alongside the CEO and the broader leadership team, with real autonomy over your building and real support behind you. If you have ever wanted to open and run a clinic without carrying the risk of doing it alone, this is that opportunity.

ABOUT AVIATION ABA THERAPY

Aviation ABA Therapy is a Utah-based provider offering in-home and clinic-based services across the Wasatch Front. Provo will be our second clinic, built on something we take seriously: a collaborative, supportive environment where clinicians have the resources, mentorship, and autonomy to do their best work. We believe great clinical care comes from great teams, so we invest heavily in our people, our culture, and the day-to-day experience of practicing here.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Clinical Leadership

  • Lead the clinical team at the Provo clinic, including hiring, onboarding, supervision, and ongoing development

  • Carry a focused, manageable caseload so you stay close to the clinical work and lead by example

  • Uphold and localize company clinical quality standards across assessments, treatment plans, parent training, and session note compliance, in partnership with the Clinical Director

  • Drive outcome measurement, treatment integrity, and continuous improvement of care at your site

Operations and Accountability

  • Run the day-to-day operation of the clinic, from scheduling logic and staffing coverage to authorization management and clinical productivity

  • Implement and enforce company clinical processes and procedures, and flag where Provo needs something built differently

  • Hold staff accountable through clear expectations, KPIs, regular performance check-ins, and direct coaching

  • Identify bottlenecks and design systems to remove them before they become problems

Growth and Strategy

  • Own census growth at the Provo clinic through clinical capacity planning, referral engagement, and community presence

  • Partner with marketing and intake on conversion, family experience, and clinic reputation in Utah County

  • Contribute to new service line development, including specialty programs and Day Treatment

Training and Development

  • Deliver and oversee staff training for BCBAs, RBTs, and clinic operations staff at your site

  • Apply competency-based training pathways aligned with Utah DHHS standards and Aviation ABA quality benchmarks

  • Mentor BCBA candidates and develop the next layer of clinical leadership inside the organization

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-certification clinical experience as a BCBA

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, such as supervising a clinical team or running clinical operations at a clinic, region, or program level

  • Track record of building processes, holding staff accountable, and driving measurable improvement in clinical or operational outcomes

  • Comfortable carrying a small clinical caseload alongside Clinic Director responsibilities

  • Strong working knowledge of insurance-funded ABA, authorizations, and session note compliance

  • Eligible to be credentialed with Utah Medicaid and major commercial payers

Preferred

  • Experience launching or scaling a clinic-based ABA program

  • Familiarity with Utah DHHS licensing standards or comparable state regulatory environments

  • Experience training and developing RBTs and BCBA candidates

  • Comfort with modern practice management and EMR systems

  • Roots or an established network in Utah County

Who You Are

  • A warm, grounded leader who people genuinely want to follow

  • Operates well in a fast-paced, growing environment where priorities shift

  • Direct and kind in feedback, comfortable with hard conversations

  • Takes ownership of a building and everything that happens in it

  • Believes clinical quality and operational discipline are the same conversation

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and leadership track record

  • Performance bonus potential tied to clinical quality, operational, and growth outcomes

  • Long-term incentive participation available for the right candidate

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage

  • Paid time off and holidays

  • CEU support and professional development budget

  • Direct access to the Clinical Director and CEO, and a real seat at the leadership table
