Schedule: Full-Time
Oak Village Healthcare is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department at our skilled nursing facility in Oaktown, IN. We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and organized leader who can oversee clinical operations, ensure quality resident care, and support our nursing team in delivering excellence every day.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect the overall operation of the nursing department, ensuring high standards of resident care
Assign and supervise nursing staff to meet resident needs
Monitor care delivery and follow up on results to ensure quality outcomes
Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and residents’ families or responsible parties
Foster a positive and supportive environment for staff, residents, and families
Serve as a clinical resource for residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
Support quality improvement and regulatory readiness initiatives
Active RN license in the state of Indiana
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing leadership experience as a DON, ADON, or similar leadership role in a long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities
Experience working with geriatric populations preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
