Job Description
Our Healthcare partner in Jackson needs a full-time Appointment Specialist to add to their team!
1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday – Friday
Starting wage is $15/hour
Full-time, temporary to permanent positions in Jackson, MI.
Essential Duties for the Appointment Specialist:
Schedule patient appointments via phone.
Complete registration & verify demographics for patients.
Schedule transportation & translation services for patients as needed.
Check the call-in lines.
Follow up with patients who have missed their appointments & identify barriers.
Check in the basket daily & complete all pending tasks.
Assist patients with questions regarding services offered and connect patients with appropriate personnel.
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical insurance rules preferred.
Excellent customer service.
Both written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements for the Appointment Specialist:
Background Requirements: Clean
Diploma/GED Required: Yes
