Job Title: Emergency Department & Critical Access Inpatient RN (ED / Med-Surg / Tele RN)

Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile and autonomous Emergency Department & Critical Access Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join a patient-centered clinical team. Operating in a small, rural Critical Access Hospital setting, you will provide comprehensive nursing care across a diverse patient population (Newborn to Geriatric). The ideal candidate brings strong critical thinking skills, thrives in independent environments, and can hit the ground running managing both ED volume and inpatient Med-Surg/Telemetry beds.

Compensation & Schedule:
  • Hourly Pay Range: $33.90 – $45.25 / hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Estimated Annual Salary: $70,512 – $94,120 / year (based on full-time schedule)
  • Schedule Options: Flexible scheduling options prioritizing work-life balance (Full-time benefits starting at 30 hours/week)
  • Dress Code: Professional scrubs (any color)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Emergency & Acute Care: Perform rapid clinical assessments, initiate emergency interventions, and manage acute patient stabilization in the Emergency Department.
  • Inpatient & Telemetry Care: Deliver holistic nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for Med-Surg and cardiac-monitored telemetry patients.
  • Autonomous Decision-Making: Make independent clinical judgments, manage patient handoffs, and document comprehensive care plans accurately in patient electronic medical records.
  • Interdisciplinary Communication: Collaborate effectively with attending physicians, mid-level providers, and clinical staff across a close-knit team environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • ED Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated Emergency Department RN experience [Required].
  • Specialty Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of combined ICU, PCU, or Med-Surg RN experience [Required].
  • Cardiac Monitoring: Proven experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care [Required].
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License [Required].
  • Certifications:
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
    • Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the AHA [Required].
    • Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the AHA [Required].
  • Preferred Attributes: Prior experience in rural health or small Critical Access Hospital settings; strong self-direction and team communication skills.
