The RoleWe are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Charge Nurse (RN) to lead our nursing team and oversee clinical operations during assigned shifts at Bethea Retirement Community!
In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring direct care delivery aligns with high clinical standards, supervising shift staff (LPNs, Med Techs, CNAs/Aides), administering complex medications and treatments, and advocating for resident wellness. Key ResponsibilitiesShift Leadership & Oversight: Direct shift nursing operations, delegating duties effectively to direct care staff while ensuring care plans and physician orders are followed precisely.
Clinical Assessments & Care: Conduct physical assessments, administer medications and advanced treatments, track vital signs, and monitor overall resident health.
Documentation & EHR: Maintain precise, real-time clinical documentation, incident reports, and assessment notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Physician & Family Communication: Collaborate with attending physicians, medical providers, and family members regarding condition updates, order revisions, or emergency situations.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce state regulations, infection control standards, and safety guidelines across the unit.
Licensure: Active, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of South Carolina (or active multistate/compact RN license).
Certifications: Active CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living, or Long-Term Care setting preferred (charge nurse experience a plus).
Clinical Skills: Strong clinical judgment, emergency response capabilities, and acute assessment skills.
Leadership Style: Approachable, organized, and reliable leader with exceptional communication skills.
