Diesel Mechanic

About the Role:
GD Mobile Truck Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Brewerton/Syracuse, NY! This is a hands-on opportunity to work on heavy-duty trucks and equipment with a company that keeps the transportation industry moving 24 hours a day. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
• Perform engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and drivetrain servicing
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and routine service checks
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension components, and steering systems
• Document repair work, parts used, and service records accurately
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and DOT compliance regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Truck Technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical diagnostics, and hydraulics
• Ability to use diagnostic software and tools (e.g., J Pro, Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link)
• ASE certification or equivalent trade school training preferred
• Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
• Own a basic set of mechanic's tools
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
