Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma hospital, requiring 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT(R) certification.
Details
- Level I trauma hospital setting with adult and pediatric acute care, ED, and outpatient services
- Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every third weekend required (7p-7a)
- Potential to float to an affiliated advanced radiology services location
- Uses GE CT equipment and PACS imaging system
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Level I trauma experience required
- ARRT(R) certification required, ARRT(CT) preferred
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency with abdomen and pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies required
- Experience with vascular CTA and brain perfusion studies required
- Skilled in multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) required, 3D rendering and ROI measurement preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, isolation precautions, and radiation safety required
- Peripheral IV insertion and venipuncture skills preferred
- Proof of flu vaccination required, with any exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of CT procedures across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
- Some special procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, and myelography are preferred but not required
- Navy scrubs required
- Full availability required during orientation week
- Holiday time off requests are not guaranteed
- Travelers may be required to float before permanent staff
- RTO limited to no more than 10 days
- Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
- First-time travelers may be considered
