Material Handler

Midway Staffing is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Production Material Handler to keep materials available for production, mixing, and packaging operations.

POSITION DETAILS

• Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour, based on experience
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday
• Hours: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Schedule is subject to change based on production needs
• Overtime is required as needed
• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Environment: Dry production and manufacturing environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete a thorough forklift inspection at the beginning of each shift
• Read and follow the daily production schedule
• Ensure materials are available for production, mixing, and packaging
• Operate a forklift to transport products, raw materials, and equipment
• Deliver materials to production lines and mixing rooms as needed
• Sort and organize materials for processing or transportation
• Read work orders and verify production specifications
• Record operational and production information accurately
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and production team members
• Perform manual production or material-handling duties as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all GMP, safety, quality, housekeeping, and environmental procedures
• Perform other duties assigned by the production supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid forklift operator certification or license
• Previous material-handling, forklift, or production experience is preferred
• Ability to read work orders and follow production schedules
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, and get on and off equipment throughout the shift
• Ability to operate forklift foot controls for extended periods
