Overview:
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6am - 4pm
The Transformer Supervisor will lead our Transformer Manufacturing Department. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and driving continuous improvement. The Supervisor will lead a team of hourly production employees, coordinate with supporting departments, and ensure efficient, on-time delivery of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations within the Transformer Manufacturing Department to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
Plan, schedule, and assign work based on production priorities and resource availability.
Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to QES standards, procedures, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies at all times.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.
Train, coach, and develop team members to build skills and promote engagement.
Monitor department performance metrics such as output, scrap, and rework, and drive corrective actions where needed.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production, attendance, and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, respect, and communication.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes, electrical assembly, or related technical background preferred.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in electrical or electromechanical manufacturing environments.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Familiarity with ISO quality systems and OSHA compliance.
