Location: Athens, OH

Job Overview
NextGen is hiring an EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Site Auditor for a major telecommunications organization. This role is ideal for an experienced construction safety professional with strong EHS auditing, hazard assessment, and field construction safety experience.
The selected candidate will travel to project sites and facilities to evaluate workplace safety, review safety documentation, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to construction project sites, tower sites, and facility locations.
- Perform EHS site and facility audits.
- Review JHA (Job Hazard Analysis), JSA (Job Safety Analysis), PTP (Pre-Task Plan), AHA (Activity Hazard Analysis), and similar safety documentation.
- Review employee and subcontractor work practices, tools, equipment, and inspections.
- Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and EHS compliance issues.
- Document audit findings and communicate required corrective actions.
- Verify and document completed corrective actions.
- Track recurring safety issues and recommend long-term corrective measures.
- Recognize employees and teams for strong safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and ISO 45001 requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience reviewing JHA, JSA, PTP, AHA, or similar hazard assessment documentation.
- 5+ years of Construction Safety Supervisor, Safety Manager, or similar field safety experience.
- 5+ years of EHS facility/site auditing and safety program experience.
- Experience identifying hazards and documenting corrective actions.
- Willingness to travel frequently to rural and remote locations.
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), ISO 45001, or equivalent certification required/preferred based on experience.
- Strong communication, documentation, and field auditing skills.

- OSHA and regulatory compliance
- ISO 45001 auditing
