Salary: $93,000 - $95,000; Direct Hire
Target Start Date: By November 1
Notable Scheduled Travel: Onboarding in San Diego, CA for the first week.
7 other trips a year. Trip location would be dependent on client
About the Company: Our client is an industry leader in Halloween and holiday seasonal products. They operate year-round to design, develop, manufacture, and support the sales of Halloween and Christmas products to Mass Market, Big Box, Grocery, Drug, and Specialty Retailers.
Position Summary: The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for managing assigned product lines from concept through production launch. This role serves as the central point of coordination between Creative, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and overseas manufacturing teams to ensure products are developed, approved, and launched on time, within cost targets, and aligned with customer requirements.
The Sr. Product Manager drives the execution of product development initiatives while building expertise in assigned customer profiles and market trends. Success in this role requires strong project management, attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, leadership, and the ability to learn quickly and move multiple products through a fast-paced seasonal development cycle.
Key Responsibility Areas Below:
Product Development
· Manage assigned products from concept through production launch, driving development timelines, milestones, and approvals
· Coordinate communication between U.S.-based teams and overseas manufacturing partners
· Maintain accurate product information within Zoho and other business systems
· Partner with appropriate teams to achieve cost, quality, and timing objectives
Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Management
· Maintain the development catalog and manage carryover product decisions
· Monitor development status, risks, and resource requirements across product lines
· Provide end-of-season reporting on development outcomes, including projects initiated, pushed, and completed
· Support product rationalization and assortment planning, and participate in post-season business reviews to identify opportunities for future product improvements
Market & Trend Analysis
· Research consumer trends, competitive products, and retail market developments
· Analyze competitor products for cost-saving opportunities and support adoption of new production techniques
· Identify new product opportunities and provide insights to help shape future product direction and category plans, including costing guidance and assortment categories
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Facilitate communication between U.S. and overseas teams and lead product status meetings and development reviews
· Identify and escalate development risks and timeline challenges
· Drive accountability across teams for project deliverables and deadlines
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, Merchandising, or related field
· 3+ years of product management, category management, merchandising, product development, or related experience
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results
· Timeline-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to lead and guide Product Team deliverables
· Experience in seasonal products, toys, décor, consumer products, giftware, or related categories, preferred
· Experience with PLM systems, preferred
· Knowledge of retail math, assortment planning, and product profitability analysis, preferred
· Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners, preferred
