Package Handler

Location: Bellingham

Algonquin Industries and Hi-Tech Metals is seeking a Package Handler to join our team in Bellingham, MA. In this role, you will pack precision manufactured parts, perform visual quality inspections, and prepare shipments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Pack finished sheet metal and CNC machined parts securely to prevent transit damage.
• Conduct 100 percent visual inspections on product lots according to quality management system standards.
• Verify shipment accuracy against customer orders and maintain detailed inventory records for all outgoing packages.
• Receive incoming parts, route items to quality control for inspection, and distribute materials to proper departments.
• Maintain efficient shipping floor workflow to meet daily manufacturing production goals and delivery deadlines.
• Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality flow charts, and continuous improvement practices.
• Comply with ISO 9001 standards, internal quality policies, and customer specifications.
• Practice proper workplace safety in accordance with OSHA standards and keep shipping aisles clean and organized.

Qualifications

• 1 year of packing, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment. (Preferred) Position is Trainable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough visual product inspections.
• Familiarity with basic quality control procedures, inventory tracking, and manufacturing principles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet tight daily shipping schedules.
• Dependable work ethic, strong organizational skills, and flexibility to work required shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
