Job Description
SUMMARY: The Quality Control Associate is responsible for checking and performing quality checks work orders to deliver high-quality that meets production standards. The associate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, maintain safety standards, and ensure on-time delivery.
SHIFT: 2nd shift.
Temporary to Permanent position looking to start ASAP!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor print quality and make necessary corrections to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure all artwork is correct to job specifications, counting for accuracy and packing for shipping.
- Troubleshoot basic issues and print issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance or leadership.
- Track production output and report any issues affecting quality, productivity, or delivery to leadership.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety and environmental guidelines.
- Ensure a daily task list is completed and concerns are communicated with management.
- Perform daily housekeeping to keep the work area in perfect condition.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration:
- Inspect prints for defects, and adherence to customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality checks and production data.
- Work closely with supervisors, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions for process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on priorities and production goals.
Workspace Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rollers, removing debris, and organizing tools.
- Ensure all safety guards, labels, and protective equipment are in place and properly used.
- Follow 5S practices to maintain efficiency and reduce waste.
- Perform daily cleaning maintenance
Tool & Skill Application:
- Use tools, and measurement devices to ensure accurate output.
- Apply troubleshooting skills to resolve press issues and minimize downtime.
- Utilize production software and documentation tools to track jobs and record data.
- Demonstrate strong aptitude and understanding of operations.
- Adapt to new technologies and processes as the department evolves.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in production or manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read job orders, interpret specifications, and follow SOPs.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform routine maintenance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
