Join a leading plumbing and HVAC contractor specializing in large commercial projects ranging from $3 million to $20 million in the Washington, Maryland, and Northern Virginia markets. Our client's dedicated estimating department is pivotal in securing projects and procuring major equipment and subcontractors, supported by a state-of-the-art prefabrication facility that handles approximately 80% of their installations. Their primary markets include schools, office buildings, government facilities, and healthcare institutions.

• The estimated pay range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000+ per year based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire estimating process from procurement of plans and specifications to bid award.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for plumbing and HVAC projects.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive bid packages.
• Utilize FAST PIPE computer estimating software effectively for project calculations.
• Support the estimating department in the procurement of major equipment post-award.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in the DC Metro area preferred.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in construction estimating, specifically in plumbing and HVAC.
• Proficient in using estimating software, specifically FAST PIPE.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and market conditions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
