Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Yard Jockey/Hostler Driver to support efficient and safe yard operations in Fort Worth, TX. This position is responsible for moving and organizing trailers, maintaining smooth loading dock operations, and assisting with trailer loading as needed. Candidates must have a valid CDL, at least 2 years of Jockey/Hostler experience, and hands-on Lift/Clamp experience.
- Job Title: 1 Yard Jockey/Hostler Driver
- Location: Fort Worth, TX
- Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Pay Rate: $26.50 / hour
Core Responsibilities:
- Repositioning Trailers: Move trailers in and out of loading dock doors to keep freight moving smoothly
- Organizing the Yard: Arrange incoming and outgoing containers to stop traffic jams and reduce downtime
- Inspecting Equipment: Check trailers and containers for damage, wear, or safety issues
- Completing Paperwork: Fill out delivery forms, log trailer locations, and talk with warehouse staff
- Loading Trailers: Periodically will need to assist loading orders onto trailer using a clamp lift
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Candidate MUST have CDL
- At least 2 years of experience in jockey/hostler driver
- Lift/Clamp experience
