Description
American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist for an adult outpatient clinic setting, requiring 1+ year of adult outpatient rehab experience and an active state license (license required if applicable).
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
- Works with adult outpatient population with varying diagnoses and functional needs
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- 13-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Active state PT license required at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab required
- Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required, or bachelor's/master's degree from an APTA-approved program with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience
- Adheres to APTA regulatory and practice standards
Additional Information
- Provides PT evaluations and treatments to optimize patient functional outcomes
- Oversees and directs work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans and home exercise programs
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team on patient care and discharge planning
- Assists in acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment for patients
- Documents patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress according to facility policies
- Maintains cleanliness and stock of clinical space and equipment
- Candidates must live at least 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible
- Facility does not provide housing or transportation for travelers
- Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after fingerprint processing is completed
