Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) Culbertson Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital in west central Illinois, is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to join its interdisciplinary therapy team. This role involves evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatments to restore patient function across a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, in a rural setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician. Duties include assisting patients in reaching maximum performance levels, coordinating care, supervising support staff, ensuring accurate patient charge entry, and participating in infection control, safety, and departmental training programs.
- Requirements: Current Illinois State Physical Therapy Licensure, graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or accredited college of university with a certificate in Physical Therapy, and current BCLS (CPR) certification. Ability to read, communicate effectively in English, and demonstrate strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge and understanding of physical medicine, modalities, anatomy, and physiology are required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, starting 09/14/2026 and ending 02/01/2027.
- Additional Information: The therapist will be responsible for treating a wide age range, ensuring safety and effectiveness in treatment, and maintaining clear communication with physicians, staff, and patients/families. Flexibility, organization, and the ability to work under stress are essential.
