Fabrication Shop Positions

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Locations: 77447 Hockley, TX & 77040 Houston, TX (Hempstead Rd.)

Pay Range: $16.00 – $25.00 / hour (depending on experience and position)

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Some Saturdays required as needed)
• 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:30 AM (Some Saturdays required as needed)

About the Roles

We are actively hiring for multiple production and fabrication positions across our Hockley and Houston facilities. We are seeking dependable, hard-working candidates with prior experience in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.

Open Positions

• Structural Welder / Fitter
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
• Fit, align, tack, and weld structural steel components to specification.
• Inspect welds to meet quality and safety standards.
• Welder Helper
• Assist welders and fitters with material handling, positioning, and setup.
• Prep metal surfaces using wire wheels, grinders, and hand tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and stage materials for welding.
• Grinder Helper / Metal Finisher
• Grind, deburr, clean, and smooth welds and metal surfaces using pneumatic and electric power tools.
• Inspect finished parts for surface defects, sharp edges, or imperfections.
• Prepare completed assemblies for painting or final inspection.
• Overhead Crane Operator
• Safely operate overhead bridge/gantry cranes to move heavy steel materials and fabrications throughout the shop.
• Rig loads properly using slings, chains, and hooks according to weight limits and safety standards.
• Coordinate material movements with fitters, welders, and loading personnel.
• Thread Operator
• Setup and operate threading machinery to cut threads on pipes, rods, or structural components according to specifications.
• Perform quality checks using thread gauges and calipers to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.

General Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 6 months to 2 years of hands-on experience in a fabrication or metal manufacturing shop.
• Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
• Shift Availability: Able to work either 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) or 2nd Shift (4:30 PM – 3:30 AM), including occasional Saturdays as needed.
• General Skills: Ability to use hand/power tools, follow shop safety protocols, and perform physical labor (lifting, standing, bending) throughout the shift.
