Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, military electronics training, technical certification, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic assemblies
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, bench power supplies, logic analyzers, and standard electronic laboratory equipment
  • Hands-on board-, module-, and system-level troubleshooting of embedded electronics across digital, analog, power, processor, memory, programmable-logic, and communications circuitry
  • Ability to read and apply schematics, component data sheets, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and technical work instructions to execute guided fault isolation
  • Ability to perform controlled diagnostics, maintain configuration discipline, and document results accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, including escalating blocked work and seeking direction before deviating from an approved plan.
  • Experience supporting boundary-scan activities, automated measurements, data-capture tools, fixtures, cables, or diagnostic scripts.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute approved guided fault isolation plans, checklists, measurement sequences, and controlled experiments under technical direction.
  • Perform board-, module-, and system-level diagnostics using schematics, procedures, and known-good comparisons; stop and realign before unapproved plan changes or rework.
  • Capture and document measurements, test conditions, equipment settings, configurations, and results; communicate findings and unexpected conditions promptly.
  • Support diagnostic tools and infrastructure including fixtures, cables, automated measurements, boundary-scan activities, and data-capture workflows; provide feedback to improve procedures.
  • Provide secondary support as needed for BGA rework capability evaluation, board-level mechanical assembly/ruggedization per work instructions, and upkeep/organization of test and troubleshooting equipment.
