Maintenance Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the building and surrounding areas.
• Complete minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing toilets.
• Perform painting, patching, touch-ups, and other basic wall and surface repairs.
• Replace light fixtures, bulbs, switches, and other basic lighting components as permitted.
• Inspect facilities and equipment and identify maintenance issues that require attention.
• Perform basic carpentry, drywall, hardware, and general repair work as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly common areas, workspaces, and building grounds.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies when necessary.
• Maintain and safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and building codes while performing maintenance duties.
• Report major repairs, safety hazards, or issues requiring outside contractors to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and other facility-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, painting, electrical/lighting, carpentry, and general repairs.
